Influence of Maternal Smoking ot he Incidence of Allergic Diseases in Children
One of the significant environmental factor that has an impact on apperarance and deterioration of the allergic diseases in children with atopic diathesis is passive smoking. In a sample of 1000 examined children (635 boys and 365 girls) allergic diseases symptomas were shown in 842 (84, 2%) children and 158 (15, 8%) were without symptoms ranging in are grom newborn to 15 years. In families where children of parents non-smoker (89, 8%:73, 6%-p<0, 001). Children of both smoking parents get ill more frequently than children of only one smoking parent (p<0, 05). Of 483 (48, 3%) through the whole pregnancy, the average of 5 cigarettes per diem. Symptoms of allergic diseases, more in breast-fed children of wetnurses smokers, then non-smokers (92, 5%:76, 2%<0, 001). IgE in symptomatic children in all age groups is significantly higher than in asymptomatic children (p<0, 001).
