THE COMPARISON OF UV PROTECTIVE PROPERTIES AND CHANGES IN COLOUR OF UNDYED WOVEN FABRICS

UV protective properties of undyed pre-treated and treated woven cotton and polyester fabrics with on the market available UV absorbers are investigated. The UV protection effectiveness of investigated materials and fabric appearances by colour change assessment were evaluated. The results obtained by investigation indicate considerable increasing of UV protective properties of all investigated fabrics. The most influenced parameter on the changes in their colour is the chemical constitution of the applied absorber.
