Paper is based on scientific research project “ Socio-pedagogical interventions” . Part of the project is action research on population of children and youth with difficulties in social integration. Multidisciplinary approach that is characteristic of young sciences, in this research is defined trough socio-pedagogical, psychological and sociological aspect. Qualitative methodology was selected considering approach to research problem (assessment of treatment planning), as well as characteristic of population (children and youth). Principles and procedures as described by Mesec (1998), Mayering (1995), Rapuš-Pavel (1999), Kobolt (1998), Glaser and Strauss (1967), Strauss and Corbin (1990) were used in qualitative analysis of the text. Data were analyzed according to the principles of objective hermeneutics, tries to interpret certain relationships of variables (context, intention, objective motives, consequences, functions etc.) and to generalize. Cross-sectional organization of data is technically supported by NVivo (software) and produces “ code matrix” . Code matrix connects theories, research problem and research material. Explanatory logic used in data interpreting was - describing, comparing and theorizing. The aim of the work is to present key issues in research as well as specific role of researcher in qualitative methodology.
