MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR THE PREDICTION OF SINGLE-SPOOL TURBOJET ENGINE OFF-DESIGN PERFORMANCE

This paper analyses off-design performance of a turbojet engine. A mathematical model for calculation of single-spool turbojet engine off-design performance was developed. The model is based on the known on-design characteristic of the engine which is design for UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). Calculation results for a range of flight parameters and various throttle settings are presented for the known turbojet engine. The obtained off-design characteristics can be used for the prediction of engine performance in its future operation and for modeling the engine controls.
