A Formulation of Boundary Element Method for Plane-Strain of Homogenous Elastic Solid
The paper presents a complete evaluation of integral equations related to the plane-strain in the homogenous elastic solid. Due to difficulty in finding the exact solution of integral equation that determines the equilibrium of boundary conditions, it is convenient to apply some numerical method, such as the so-called boundary element method, that transforms integral equation of equilibrium into the ordinary system of linear equations. Once, when boundary conditions are completely determined, it is easy to apply evaluated integral equations to find the components of displacement, strain or stress.
