Management Particularities in the Hotel Business
Managing a hotel is extremely complex, not only because of the nature of hotel operation, but also because of the competitive and ever-changing environment in which it operates. The hotel management has to follow development trends in tourist demand and has to direct its attention towards satisfying the demands of specific market segments. Basic to this process is: a clear understanding of the quality needed in each key result area of hotel management. These kind of business conditions increase the responsibility of the hotel management. Business decisions become evermore complex, so that for the purposes of minimizing business risks, the use of quantitative techniques in decision-making is necessary.
