Nir soil moisture measurement using the double beam and one detector
The spectral composition of soil reflected energy is mostly dependent on the biogeochemical (mineral and organic) constituents, geometrical-optical scattering and moisture conditions, of the immediate soil surface. Soil spectral reflectance signatures result from the presence or absence, as well as the position and shape of specific absorption features of its constituents. Mathematical preprocessing of the spectra is needed to provide relevant information of the absorbent. The methods applied include multiplicative scatter correction, standard normal variation, Fourier transform, averaging technique and principal component analysis. This paper gives the experiment results of soil moisture measuring.
