The Instrumentation for Geodynamic Research
Modern techniques of satellite positioning as GPS, anables extremely comfortable determination of coordinates. However the accuracy of these measurement techniques is high, there are some cases where these methods can not be applied with success. The problem of underground positioning in mines, tunnels or other excavations can be solved only with classical techniques and for continual geodynamic monitoring the usage of gravimeters, tiltmeters and extensometers is unavoidable. The paper describes some geodynamic monitoring techniques, the instrumentation, the analysis of accuracy, the interpretation of the results and the problem of combining of such data with classical geodetic and GPS networks.
