Modeling of ship antiheeling system by using hybrid Petri net
The article deals with the control system modelling of anti-heeling system by Hybrid Petri net. This system is used on ships during cargo loading and unloading, when the ship may tend to lean to one side. The anti-heeling system is constantly measuring the heeling angle using a pump. It pumps water between two heeling tanks to equal the heeling angle to a zero. This article shows how a Hybrid Petri net is used to describe the dynamics of this hybrid system. Using that model, the creation of the program for the programmable logic controller (PLC), which controls the whole system, is easier.
