Lattice constant of the Al-rich FCC alpha-phase in contact with various kinds of precipitates

The lattice constants of the Al-rich matrix in contact with precipitates of the metastable FCC alpha_m-phase and the beta(Zn) equilibrium phase were studied in four Al-Zn alloys, with x=8, 24, 40 and 48 at%Zn, in the interval between RT and 400^oC by X-ray powder diffraction. The results obtained are discussed together with literature data.
