The Assesment of IS Complexity Based on Genetic Taxonomy
To estimate the amount of work needed for aplication software development, several methods are used today, while estimation of the development complexity of the new IS as the whole is generally based on experience of the project manager and system analyst. In this paper a new genetic taxonomy of IS is shortly presented. This taxonomy is based on those characteristics of IS-s, which are important for their development and design. The study shows how the principles of genetic taxonomy could be applied to estimate the complexity of new IS, thus improving the understanding between IS deigners and users.
