EFL learning: the effect of affect
In this tudy of affective variables in EFL learning the role of the learners' motivation for learning, his attitudes towards the teacher, the EFL classes and towards EFL learning were looked into. The results show that a large part of sucess in EFL learning depends on learner motivation and his attitudes towards the teaching setting in which his learning is taking place. They also point out that the existing teching situation fails to make full use of the motivational potential our learner of English has.
