Analytical and Experimental Analysis of Stresses and Deflections of Strengthened Diaphragm
This paper deals with an analysis of stresses and deflections of a newly designed spring element of a fluid pressure transducer with electrical-resistance strain gages. The spring element is in the form of circular diaphragm strengthened with the ring-shaped concentric ribs in order to increase flexural rigidity. The results of proposed analytical solution are compared with experimental results obtained by applying the 3D photoelastic frozen stress method. In the conclusion the author underline the validity of the considered constructive solution and the proposed analytical method.
