Characterization of cold plasmas for new materials preparation by optical spectroscopy methods
We use and develop various techniques such as optical emission spectroscopy, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, and cavity ring-down spectroscopy to characterize laser-induced and radio-frequency inductively coupled plasmas, and their combinations. Critical comparison of techniques is presented in the case of plasma treatment of various metallic and non-metallic materials.
