Modeling Of Low Frequency Electrodynamical Loudspeaker As Nonlinear Driven Anharmonic Oscilator
Low frequency electrodynamic loudspeaker has been modelled as nonlinear anharmonic oscillator. First, the equivalent circuits of loudspeaker and corresponding connections with linear modelling using 1-D linear ordinary differential equation (ODE) have been considered, and appropriate upgrading to the nonlinear equation including spatial dependencies. The measured output quantity was displacement amplitude and electric impedance, and loudspeaker was driven in nearly linear regime for two modes of operation, in air and vacuum. In far nonlinear regime loudspeaker exhibits the well-known amplitude cut-off effect and it can't be modelled by linear differential equations. The nonlinear equations have been developed, numerically solved and theoretical results for displacement amplitude showed good agreement with measurements.
