Aperture Radiation Analysis Using New Wave-Objects

A novel method for computing the field radiated by an aperture via expansion in new analytical waveobjects is presented. The electric field spectrum at the aperture plane is first represented by the Fourier series in the -coordinate and then the obtained magnitudes of the Fourier harmonics are expressed in terms of complex exponentials obtained by the Generalized Pencil-of-Function (GPOF) method. The starting radiation integral for each term then assumes a form that can be evaluated in closed form. The paper also discusses the sensitivity of the GPOF expansion.
