Photon Polarization Teleportation with Fidelity > 0.5
In a previous reference of ours we proposed a four photon experiment "which prepares entanglements between photons that nowhere interacted and whose paths nowhere crossed. The experiment puts together two photons from two photon pairs and make them interfere at a beam splitter. As a result one finds polarization correlations between the other companion photons from the pairs whose paths nowhere crossed each other we can consider them event-ready prepared in an entangled state." In the reference we gave detailed calculations. The experiment was carried out in Innsbruck less then two years afterwards. However, it apparently went unnoticed that a modification of the experiment enables one to patch the a posteriori defect of a previous Innsbruck teleportation experiment objected by J. Kimble. In this contribution we present the afore-mentioned modification.
