Quality measurement of Croatian public and academic libraries: a methodology

This paper presents the proposed methodology for the quality measurement of Croatian public and academic libraries that is to be carried out within the project Evaluation of library and information services: academic and public libraries. In February 2007 the first scientific LIS project on this topic (with a particular emphasis on public and academic libraries) was approved by Croatian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport (the main funding body within the area of Croatian scientific community). The estimated duration of the project is five years. The project builds on and extends the research results presented in the doctoral thesis of the project's Principle Investigator, some of which were also presented at Northumbria 6, Durham 2005.
