The hailstone kinetic energy determination and comparison with radar parameters
On the 31.08.1985 it was registered the highest instability ever recorded from the beginning of hail suppression activity in Croatia. The maximum intensity of hailstorms was located in the Požega valley, where is hailpad network installed on launching stations. This paper is the description of measured and calculated hail stone parameters and kinetic energy. The hail fals were recorded in several cases on that day (nearly at 3 pm, 5 pm and 20 pm), for every interval separately. The hail fall kinetic energy, reagent and radar parameters of the correspondent hailstorms are compared.
