Being at Risk: Institutional and Structural Uncertainties in Croatian Labour Markets

Transformational processes have made workers vulnerable to different sorts of risks. Vulnerability issue is approached from the two main standpoints: from the institutional and structural one. First is about institutional deficits in workers’ legal rights protection ; second is about restructuring and globalisation pressures many firms are facing. While both types of risks are quite general, differentiated are capacities of workers or groups of workers to protect themselves against such risks and/or influence costs associated with them. These differences both concern resource to legal protection and/or to collective action.
