Transient Response of a Thin Wire in a Two Media Configurtion
The transient response of a thin wire radiating in the presence of an inhomogeneous medium is obtained by solving the corresponding time domain integral equation of the Hallen type. A new mathematical model proposed in this paper is based on the extension of the free space Hallen equation utilizing the space time dependent Fresnel reflection coefficient. The space time current distribution along the antenna or the scaterrer is obtained by the originally developed finite element integral equation method (FEIEM) applying the Galerkin-Bubnov procedure.
