Expansion of the European Union to Countries of Central and Eastern Europebranches

Ten candidate countries of the Central and Eastern Europe, to which the European Union is about to expand, have quite contrary relations with the Union. Their accession to the Union will have multiple consequences. This paper analyses the phenomenon of the new competitive industries, discussing the complementarity which is more subsistant than competition. It also analyses correlations among and within branches, debating the costs and benefits of the integration for those candidate countries.
