Autonomy, dependence and modern reforms in Croatia-Slavonia 1848-1918
The work reconstructs the reforms of public law in Croatia-Slavonia and dependence of the modernisation upon influence of political centres in Vienna and Budapest. Author concludes that modernisation of the Croatian public law was based on adaptation of the Austrian models with reduction of their liberal content. The reduction was determined by the mentioned exogenous influence as well as by the ideological attitudes of the Croatian reformists who believed that the Croatian population was not yet educated enough for enjoying a broader grants of political and citizen's rights.
