Tracking in Intelligent Spaces using distributed sensors and mobile robots
This paper deals with the problem of tracking persons, robots and other objects inside spaces that have multiple sensors distributed in the space – Intelligent Spaces. Here in addition to these distributed sensors with fixed positions in the space we consider also the utilization of mobile robots equipped with onboard sensors for the tracking process. The characteristics of such system are discussed and experimental results are shown.
