The Teacher's Role in Moderated Online Course
This paper presents The Geometer's Sketchpad moderated online course designed and realized with the AHyCo LMS at the Faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka. This online course is intended to be used by students and teachers of mathematics interested in using The Geometer's Sketchpad software. Moderated online course promotes continuous pedagogical guidance and communication between the students and the tutor. The tutor's role in the education process is not only to transfer the knowledge, but to motivate and support students in learning. Therefore, new challenges are pushed upon both the students and the tutors in an online learning environment. Learning and teaching activities during « ; The Geometer's Sketchpad» ; online course with the emphasis on the tutor's role are described.
