Fatigue crack growth in AlCuMg2 alloy subjected to spectrum of loading
The fatigue crack growth in Al - alloy is analized. Flat specimen with central hole and starter notches is subjected to constant and variable amplitude loading. The fatigue life prediction model based on Paris law and cycle-by-cycle crack growth counting is developed. Experimental results and data obtained by computer simulation are presented. According to the comparison of experimental results and predicted fatigue lives, the simple equation for determining the constants C and m in the case of spectrum is proposed.
