Salinity of Agricultural soils in the river Neretva delta (Croatia)
The average salt concentration in the surface soil layer at 0-30 cm amounted to EC e = 2,0 dS/m. The highest electroconductivity value of ECe =11,3 dS/m was recorded on an area formed by extraction of saline sediments. The average salt concentration in the soil layer at 30-60 cm was ECe = 2.72 dS/m while that in the soil layer at 60-90 cm amounted to ECe=2.85 dS/m. CEC values ranged from 14,99 cmol/kg to 59.88 cmol/kg. Calcium, participating with 49.7 % - 96.0 %, was the prevailing exchangeable cation in CEC while in dependence on CA 2+ participation in CEC, exchangeable Na+ varied from 1,4 % to 30,1 %.
