Effects of rumen protected methionine supplementation on lactational performance of dairy goats

The experiment was conducted on the three farms of goats. The experimental groups of animals were supplemented with 5g MepronR, Degussa, Germany, daily. The milk production of the experimental groups of animals on farm one and farm three at first control period, was statistically higher than in control group of animal, while on farm two, the higher milk production was measured not until third and fourth control period. During a whole experiment there was no statistically differences of protein and fat content in milk between experimental and control groups. The higher milk production at first control period on two mentioned farms may be considered with the great probability as the influence of MepronR. On farm two, the higher milk production at third and fourth control period was probably connected with the improved nutrition, inclusively by adding alfalfa hay in daily ration.
