SCREENING MAIZE INBREDS FOR RESISTANCE UNDER ARTIFICIAL EAR INOCULATION WITH Fusarium graminearum Schw.
Gibberella ear rot caused by the fungus Fusarium graminearum Schwabe is a serious disease of maize (Zea mays L.) grain in Croatia. The four-year trials consisted of screening 172 maize lines for resistance under conditions of artificial ear inoculation into the silk channel with F. graminearum. Four most resistant maize lines, Bc60250, Bc60186, Bc741-16 and Bc60241 were selected as potential sources of resistance.
