Computer Aided Parameters Selection in View of Arc Welding Quality Assurance

In view of welding engineering complexity and today's computers capability, an implementation of computer assisted expert system for arc welding parameters selection, in ensuring welded joints quality, is proposed. Some well-defined approaches to parameters relationships interpretation are presented, the welding plan composition and function explained, and the main guidelines for an expert system development are given. All necessary arc welding parameters for the welding plan specifications structuring as well as particular parameters relationships are shown.
