Personal Identity, Continuity and Brain Transplants

Author analyses a thought experiment devised by John Robinson in which one neuron by one is transplanted from one brain to another. So, neurons are transplanted from the brain of the person X to brain of the person Y. At the same time, the neurons from the brain which receives the transplants (Y) are pulled out, again one by one, and destroyed. Robinson argues that person who survives is the person X. Carefully analysing the structure of the experiment, author argues that psychological criterion of personal identity shows that person Y would survive.
