Geochemical characteristics of mercurian tetrahedrites from the Middle Bosnian Shist Mountains

Sixteen analyses of tetrhedites from the three types of NBSM barite deposits gave a general formula of this type of tetrahedide. Individual analysis display a wide composition range. Mercurian tetrahedride with negative d34S values from the Mačkara and Kreševo types of barite deposits are unique paragenetic types in the Dinarides. These parageneses were formed by fluids typical for post-Variscan barite deposits. The Trošnik type of deposits contains feroan tetrahedrite with positive d34S values, typical for polymetalic ore deposits.
