Respirable particle exposure distributions in Zagreb households
Respirable particle (cut-off diameter 3.5 ľm) mass concentrations were mesured during summer and winter season in 16 households indoors and outdoors in their vicinity for a week period, working days and weekends separately. At the same time 16 volunteers collected samples by means of personal samplers. During sampling period time budget data about their whereabouts and activities were collected. Results show significant seasonal dependence. Another, previously collected, wider time budget data base, together with concentration data measured, were used to form a set of exposure data for four population subgroups (retired, university students, high school students and employed). Fits of exposure distributions were calculated and presented. This method can serve as tool for pollution situation evaluation in certain environments by comparison to the proposed guideline values.
