Mathematical modeling of thermal pollution of environment
Metallurgical plants usually create most powerful sources of the thermal pollution. The mathematical model of thermal pollution is formulated as a heat transfer equation with correspondent thermal sources, initial and boundary conditions and conditions in infinity. Since there are effects of different geometrical scales (for example, localized heat sources) it is better to use computational potential theory for numerical calculations. New algorithm of discrete singularity method with localization inside a cell, proposed by the authors, is used in the present work. Several numerical calculations are made for cases of distributed and local heat sources to show thermal pollution effects.
