Fracture mechanics parameters estimation of CCT specimens made of X5CrNi18-10 steel
This study investigates fracture behavior of specimens made of high ductile stainless steel. Investigated material was X5CrNi18-10 and specimens used in this investigation were prepared as center crack tension (CCT) specimens. For determination of J-integral, as one of important fracture mechanics parameters, a single specimen method with loading-unloading procedure was used. The same experiment was numerically modeled using commercial software for finite element analysis – ANSYS. Numerically obtained results were compared to results obtained by experiment.
