The Communist Manifesto from the Post-Communist Perspective
What is the meaning of The Communist manifesto today, after the collapse of Communism, which was announced by this programmatic text written by Karl Marx & Friedrich Engels more than 150 years before? How is possible to read , understand and clarify this peace of literature from the post-communist perspective if post-Communism was "simply unthinkable in Marx's philosophy of history"? What does this work "have to teach those inhabiting a world which Marx himself could not conceivably have anticipated?" Trying to answer these questions, the author, by the critical analysis of Žižek's, Rorty's and Holmes' interpretations of Manifesto offers his conception on Marx after Marxism.
Marxism; post-communism; globalization; capitalism; christianity; liberalism
