The role of Internationalisation of MNC for building high growth performance in the local subsidiaries : the case of Croatia
The paper is organized in five parts. First, an introduction was given, second, review of the literature on the role of MNCs on internalization business activities and subsidiaries performances are given. Third, methodological explanations concerning the definition of high growth performance in the paper are presented. In the fourth part the main findings from the field research on the local subsidiaries are presented. Some concluding remarks are provided at the end. Our results confirm that there are statistical differences between high growth local subsidiaries and other subsidiaries regarding the SME and MNE as a type of ownership. Moreover there are statistically significant differences between high growth subsidiaries and other subsidiaries regarding the acquisition and purchase of knowledge on the domestic market, where high growth subsidiaries are more inclined to purchase knowledge on the domestic market.
