New Media Literacy. Hypertextual, Cybertextual, and Networked
The aim of this work is to confront two concepts of the digital-network media. The first is typical of the early hypertextual theory. George Landow, David J. Bolter and Michael Joyce defined hypertext as an embodiment of poststructuralistic textualism. Such a description of the new media paradigm will be opposed to the definition that is based on the compound of the flexibility of the digital sign and the Network as a distributed diagram.
hypertext; cybertext; network; computer game; flickering signifier; lifestream
