Recent advances in calibration of gas flow working standards
This paper presents new developments in calibration of gas flow working standards. Two rotary displacement gas meters of type G16 and G250 were directly calibrated up to 25 m3/h using the reference G16 rotary displacement meter and two turbine meters of type G160. For larger flow rates up to 400 m3/h, calibration was performed by connecting two turbine meters in parallel. The obtained measurement uncertainty is less than 0.26% (k = 2) for flow rates up to 270 m3/h, and less than 0.54% (k = 2) for flow rates from 270 to 400 m3/h. These results suggest that the gas flow working standards can be satisfactorily calibrated up to 400 m3/h, which is a significantly larger flow rate compared to the previous study, as reported by Pavlović et al. [1].
