Proximate body compositon and nutritive value of amberjack, Seriola dumerili,fed on three different diets
Mediterranean amberjack, Seriola dumireli (Risso, 1810) is very sutiable kind of fish for the commercial culture. So far, the possibility of its adaptation to the in captivity wad invastigated using different diets, growth rate and food conversion compared with temperature and condition index. In this paper we tried to determinate the qualiti of cultured amberjack considering also their proximate body composition and organoleotic chatacteristisc. In the experiment preformed, three kinds of diets where used. Diet A - frozen sardina (100%), diet B - frozen and pellet (50 %-50%), and diet C - pellet (100%). From the obtained results it can be asserted thet amberjack is a grest highprotein fish, their meat containing more then 20% of protein.
