Regional Climate Change over Europe: Analysis of 2m temperature and precipitation
The Regional Climate Model (RegCM) is used to dynamically downscale three realisations of climate change as defined by EH5OM global climate model. Simulations of present (1961-1980) and future (2041-2060) climate are performed according to the IPCC A2 emission scenario. RegCM domain covered central and south Europe and the Mediterranean with horizontal resolution of 35 km. We analysed the change in 2m temperature and precipitation between future and present climate for winter and summer seasons. The analysis is based on the assessment of seasonal mean differences and changes in interannual variability. Statistical significance of changes has been calculated as well.
