Modeling of Gas Oil Catalytic Cracking in a Fixed Bed Reactor Using 5-Lump Kinetic Model
5-lump kinetic model is developed for modeling gas oil catalytic cracking. The experiments are carried out in standard fixed bed microactivity test (MAT) reactor. Distribution of cracking product components was determined as a function of temperature. Sequential step optimization method used for estimating kinetic constants. MAT reactor nonisothermal and non steady-state model was proposed. The overall heats of reactions are taken from macroscopic difference of enthalpies of products and reactants. The influences of feedstock and reactor temperature are discussed. The validation of reactor and kinetic models was done using experimental MAT results. Simulation results are in a good agreement with experimental data.
