Influence of Force Transducer Position on Results of Testing Machine Calibration
In calibrating a testing machine it is important to correctly position a standard force transducer which is used for calibration. Inclining of the force transducer results in multiaxial load and bending effects which adversely affect the measurement accuracy, and thus the classification of the tested measuring range of the testing machine. Already small inclinations of up to 3 , due to the occurrence of radial force component, lead to a deviation of the measured values of relative errors in the testing machine measuring system. Inclinations of 4 and 5 are especially adverse, when the testing machine errors worsen significantly, especially the error of accuracy, and to a lesser extent also the errors of repeatability and reversibility.
