Phosphorus tests and acid soils fertilization in Croatia

The aim of this investigation was to compare different computer models for phosphorus fertilizer requirement determination based on different soil phosphorus tests. Commonly used data for fertilizer recommendations in Croatia include properties such as soil pH, organic matter content and plant available phosphorus and pottasium extracted by acid Egner-Rehim– Domingo (ammonium lactate) soil P test (AL-P). The additional information, like organic P, was very useful in situation when response to fertillization based on AL-P test failure. Existing computer models can be improved by addition organic P as a new initial variable.
