“ Filmičnost” literarnega diskurza Miljenka Jergovića (Kadri, položaj kamere in montaža v zbirki kratkih zgodb Mama Leone
The volume of short stories Mama Leone by Miljenko Jergović was published in 1999. Despite the extremely high interest it generated among the readership, the critics, just as was the previous Jergović's books, have not treated it with a serious, scholarly approach. Whatever little crirical attention in thas recevied, the critics stopped at the analysis and evaluation of Jergović's manuscript in the context of the Croatian literature of the 1990's. However, the present approach to Mama Leone differs by its point of departure: it is an attemp of different reading of Miljenko Jergović. It Was prompted by the statements the author made in numerous interviews about the influence of the film on the formation of the generation (born in the 1960's). The author of the article finds that film is not present in Jergović's book only on a declarative level. It is, in fact, largely present as an integral, seemingly indispensable structural element of Jergović's short stories. The analysis of the presence of some of the forms of cinematic recording (frames, camera position, montage) reveals cinematic features in Jergović's literary discourse, which, understandably, do not lower the value of his literary-artistic expression.
