Assessing the value of mobile game based learning

In this paper the problem of assessing the value of mobile game based learning (mgbl) system is discussed. Differences between mgbl and e-learning systems are stated, as well as problems in assessment. A method for calculation of the effectiveness for mgbl system is suggested, based on modified Yair’ s research [Yair, 2006]. Method recognizes roles of students and professors, introduces their perception of the system based on two variables called value and satisfaction, each consisting of several dimensions which in turn consist of multiple characteristics. The method will be tested during the final stages of the FP6 mGBL project.
