Influence of the printing technique on the quality of the digitally shot colour portrait
The paper deals with the influence of choosing the printing technique on the quality of the perception of digitally shot portrait photograph. In the experimental part standard Munsell Colour Checker Table and portrait photograph were shot and edited in the same way and than printed in piezo ink jet, bubble jet, sublimation and digital laser photographic technique. L, a, b values and  DE00 for each system phase are determined and visual estimation of printed portrait photographs based on skin colour reproduction and general impression is done. L, a, b values and DE00 calculations for skin colours show that shooting and basic editing don’ t make excessive changes in skin colours, but the highest changes are visible after printing. Tonal CMY printing (sublimation, digital photographic printer) shows smaller differences in skin colours than halftone printing (piezoelectric ink jet and bubble jet printer). However, all printed portraits are visually marked as portraits that please professional standards.
