Elastostatic Analysis of Newly Designed Spring Element of Pressure Cell
This article offers an analysis of stresses and deflection in a new designed spring element of a ship fluid pressure cell with electrical - resistance gages. The spring element is in the form of circular diaphragm strengthed with two ring-shaped concentric ribs in order to increase flexural rigidity. The results of proposed analytical solution are compared with experimental results obtained by photoelastic frozen stress method on a specially made model. In the conclusion the authors underline the valitidity of the considered constructive solution and the proposed analytical method.
