The paper explores everyday encounters with borders by analyzing the symbolic, cultural and economic regulation of "free" circulation of books and other intellectual goods via the Amazon online bookshop for the citizens in Eastern peripheries who are treated as "Eastern Europe and Rest of World". Theoretical approach to this symbolic displacement from the European continent will deal with transnational, neo-imperial and bureaucratic technologies of small-scale discrimination the citizens of Eastern peripheries are daily faced with.
