Modified Numerical Current Field Calculation in Determining Non-Equipotential Large Grounding System Parameters

This paper works out a more accurate mathematical model for numerical calculation of grounding current field which includes internal voltage drops along zhe grounding system. The numerical calculation of the grounding current field is based on the point collocation method with current density approximation by the second-degree polynomials. Potential distribution along the grounding system conductors is calculated from equivalent pi-circuit network model. Unknown coefficients of the current density approximation as well as unknown potentials on the grounding system are obtained directly from only one computation.
